“What is good tension for my rackets?” is very often asked in badminton sport by most beginner players who finding tension that suit with him/her . This question not have absolute answer, But this question have more advice by other badminton players in many country that you can adapt with your rackets.
Now You and Me (who read my article) will find answer together in this article …
For Beginner players
In this period I not recommend tension higher than 24 lbs for . Because Higher tension of rackets can affect to health of beginner muscles. Some newbie decide to string more than 24 lbs in first tension of rackets , Maybe those newbie players can play by this rackets . But after short time Those players face with muscle pain problem absolutely.
In my opinion is to string around 18 lbs to start suitable with beginner players who is insufficient power. because it’s very easy to clear shuttle cock to opponent’s backcourt and dropping shot . If that is not satisfied for you , You can increase your string around 1-4 in next stringing
In next stringing
22lbs is recommended for you . Anymore players say It’s the good starting point. It’s suitable for both beginner and intermediate players on the first stringing. Good controlling , Easy to clear shot , Good power than 18-20lbs. 22lbs can preserve rackets to durability , long life using and etc.
For intermediate players
23-25lbs is recommended. This stringing suitable with players who like attacker style.
"Most popular range in stringing are 22-24 lbs".
Beside suitable string tension . Stringers is so important ! . Because Great Stringers can create quality consistent and balance spread of tension across the face of the racket. Inexperience Stringers can create weak points that affect to your racket collapse ,So.. Stringer is one important part of yours racket destiny.
However … Everybody has different personal . Stringing is not perfect if It can’t suit with player rackets. So You should try difference amount of tension for find which allows you to playing happily and proper with your weapon.
Experience will tell to you in someday What is good tension for you.
